Babes in the Rain

Summer is here and with it comes rain (in place of snow). Nuuk mothers are undaunted in their efforts to leave their babies sleeping outside in inclement conditions. I snapped a few photos of babies sleeping in the rain yesterday-- a continuation of my Babes in Nuuk series (if you missed my earlier post, "Babes on the Loose", you can read it here.)

I think this is the first baby I ever saw sleeping in a snowstorm (upon our arrival in early May). This week he slept contentedly in a light drizzle outside of Ken's office building. Note the mesh breathing hole.

Many of the staircases around town (and there are a lot of them) are outfitted with runners for the ubiquitous barnevogn.

Fashionable prints are also available for the barnevogn rain jacket.

A baby emerges from his breathing hole on the bus.

Chilly slumber outside the public library.

I was surprised to see this atypical jogging stroller outside of a home goods store downtown. But its (also atypical) clear cover gave me the perfect opportunity to prove to all of you that yes, there really is a baby in there.

There are many reliable travel agents working specifically for arranging Hajj and Umrah for the Muslims of the Great Britain, they are doing their best to facilitate the Muslims around the UK to undertake their religious obligations.
